A t\u00e9ma nem ismeretlen sz\u00e1momra. M\u00e1r kezd\u0151 k\u00e1rpitm\u0171v\u00e9szk\u00e9nt, az 1970-es \u00e9vekben, kidolgoztam egy sz\u00f6v\u00e9si technik\u00e1t, amellyel \u2013 csup\u00e1n a k\u00e1rpitjaim form\u00e1j\u00e1ra koncentr\u00e1lva \u2013 elhagyhattam a k\u00e9pi megjelen\u00edt\u00e9st, \u00e9s \u00edgy a m\u0171veim tiszt\u00e1n geometriai form\u00e1kb\u00f3l \u00e1lltak \u00f6ssze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A mai kort\u00e1rs textilm\u0171v\u00e9szet az \u00f6sszes hagyom\u00e1nyos textiltechnik\u00e1t felhaszn\u00e1lja. A sz\u00f6v\u00e9s, a h\u00edmz\u00e9s, a horgol\u00e1s, a filc stb. alkalmaz\u00e1s\u00e1n t\u00fal, az \u00e1zsiai m\u0171v\u00e9szeken kereszt\u00fcl, \u00fajabb technik\u00e1k jelennek meg, mint a pap\u00edrk\u00e9sz\u00edt\u00e9s, a hajtogat\u00e1s, a shibori \u00e9s hasonl\u00f3k, de ezen t\u00falmen\u0151en a m\u0171v\u00e9szek is rendszeresen \u00faj \u00f6tletekkel \u00e9s \u00faj anyagfelhaszn\u00e1l\u00e1ssal lepik meg a k\u00f6z\u00f6ns\u00e9get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00c1ltal\u00e1noss\u00e1gban elmondhatjuk a mai textilm\u0171v\u00e9szetre, hogy l\u00e1gy, rugalmas m\u0171v\u00e9szet, \u00edgy kombin\u00e1ci\u00f3i \u00e9s lehet\u0151s\u00e9gei v\u00e9gtelenek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A geometria univerz\u00e1lis nyelv, amelyet a mikro- \u00e9s makrokozmoszban, illetve a term\u00e9szetben mindenfel\u00e9 megfigyelhet\u00fcnk. A geometriai form\u00e1k \u00e9s szimb\u00f3lumok az \u00edrott nyelv vagy a kommunik\u00e1ci\u00f3 el\u0151fut\u00e1rai voltak, hiszen egy szimb\u00f3lum vagy geometriai alakzat kifejezhet egy fogalmat, vagy egy eg\u00e9sz gondolatsort an\u00e9lk\u00fcl, hogy r\u00e9szletesen le\u00edrn\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Geometria a textilm\u0171v\u00e9szetben ki\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1s anyaga h\u00e1rom \u00e1zsiai orsz\u00e1gb\u00f3l \u2013 Jap\u00e1nb\u00f3l, Kore\u00e1b\u00f3l \u00e9s K\u00edn\u00e1b\u00f3l \u2013, valamint nyolc eur\u00f3pai orsz\u00e1gb\u00f3l \u00e9rkezett. A k\u00e9t t\u00e1voli kultur\u00e1lis entit\u00e1s csod\u00e1latos tal\u00e1lkoz\u00e1s\u00e1t jelentik a k\u00f6z\u00f6sen bemutatott alkot\u00e1sok. Ezen az esem\u00e9nyen a n\u00e9z\u0151 egy rendk\u00edv\u00fcli \u00f6ssze\u00e1ll\u00edt\u00e1st l\u00e1that. A v\u00e1logat\u00e1sban m\u00e1sok mellett megtekinthetj\u00fck Rajia Jokinen munk\u00e1it, aki haz\u00e1ja hagyom\u00e1nyait k\u00f6vetve lenfonalakat varr \u00f6ssze, valamint Kakuko Ishii \u00e9s Yuri Okamoto jap\u00e1n m\u0171v\u00e9szek ki\u00e1ll\u00edtott m\u0171veit, akik orsz\u00e1guk hagyom\u00e1nyos m\u00e9dium\u00e1t, a pap\u00edrt v\u00e1lasztott\u00e1k alapul. \n\n\n\nGeometry in Textile Art<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
I was invited by J\u00e1nos Saxon Sz\u00e1sz J\u00e1nos and Zsuzsa D\u00e1rdai to be the curator of the „Geometry in Textile Art” mini-textile exhibition at the Saxon Art Gallery. The theme is not unfamiliar to me. As a budding tapestry artist in the 1970s, I developed a weaving technique that focused solely on the form of my tapestries, abandoning representational imagery and creating compositions purely from geometric shapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Contemporary textile art uses all traditional textile techniques. In addition to weaving, embroidery, crochet, felting, and more, new techniques are being experimented with through Asian artists, such as papermaking, folding, shibori, and others. Furthermore, artists regularly surprise audiences with new ideas and materials. In general, we can say that today’s textile art is a soft or flexible art form, with endless combinations and possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Geometry is a universal language that can be observed in the microcosm, macrocosm, and every shape in nature. Geometric forms and symbols were precursors to written language and communication, as a symbol or geometric shape can express a concept or a whole series of thoughts without the need for detailed description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The materials for the „Geometry in Textile Art” exhibition come from three Asian countries: Japan, Korea and China, as well as eight European countries. The jointly presented works represent a wonderful meeting of these two distant cultural entities. This event offers the spectator an extraordinary encounter. Each invited artist has met the criteria of multiple international juries, and their names are well-known in the textile art community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am delighted that every invited artist gladly accepted the invitation, allowing for the gathering of a very strong field of participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the selection, we can admire the works of Rajia Jokinen, who sews together linen threads according to the traditions of her homeland. We also have the exhibited works of Kakuko Ishii and Yuri Okamoto, Japanese artists who chose paper as their traditional medium. Sui Park used cable ties, while Yukako Sorai has achieved multiple awards and acclaim through her felting technique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each visitor can approach the exhibited material with different feelings and find interesting or surprising technical languages or material usages. The exhibition offers a glimpse into the diversity, creativity, and excellence of Asian and European textile art. It reminds us that cultural exchange and the connection between arts can bridge distances and differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
